Flair has partnered with Lead Magazine to interview local leaders on the successes and struggles they have experienced during their careers. We recognize that leadership is more than just a title or a position – we want to meet the full person that makes up the leader.

Each podcast will be unique to each guest, with the through line being their thoughts on confidence, leadership, striving for their authentic self and ways to serve in our community. Flair is excited to hear the similarities that will bubble-up, regardless if the leader is part of a large organization, an entrepreneur, has a role in philanthropy or on the mission fields!

In this episode of the Flair Confidence Podcast Series we spoke with Heather Harris – President of CycleBar Franchising.

Heather doesn’t believe in coincidences. By answering honestly and humbly, she earned her first mentor in Robin Burns (Estee Lauder) and a merchandising career in Manhattan.

A few of our favorite conversations points:

“I try to preach to younger women to really defining yourself not by what you do, but who you are and making hard calls to not be at the meeting that are scheduled when you need to be home. OK to say no.”

“Confidence is walking into a room and making those around you feel bigger than life. Confidence is not necessarily speaking but it’s doing. Confidence is strong. It is finding people and engaging in people and not shutting them off. When I think of leaders in all situations, confident people make everyone feel at ease”.
